Faith. Love. Humanity. Music.
It was an endless fight to the people behind ARMAS,
an endeavour to create, be heard and to spread their passion for their craft which resulted to their original compositions.
It wasn’t an easy path for ARMAS, they have gone from various changes of line-up and to some time and spaces but, the fire in the heart of the remaining members was ammo that makes the trigger solid and now for the Nth time is ready and will always be for their love of music.
It was July 2005 when Mary Ann "Fifah" Musngi, Angelo Yap, John Michael Enriquez, Heherson Obaña and Randolph Deleon have crossed paths. Fifah was a Gig organizer that time, Angelo, Jm and Heherson were in a punk band while Randolph is a house drummer at Nightwish Bar, Malate where Fifah usually produces her gigs. Bloodline of Original Pinoy Music runs through them and so they have finally decided to form a band and perform cover songs from Agaw Agimat, New Found Glory and No Doubt , embracing their influences they have performed in different gigs and events.
Just like other bands they went through rough times, Randolph was replace by Tyrone Tolsa, Angelo with John Michael have reformed their previous band, Heherson joined his college friends and form a thrash metal band while Fifah continued her passion with “Indelible ink” band. Armas went on and off but the band members have remained friends and this strengthens their relationship.
It was year 2008 when finally the pioneering members Mary Ann Musngi, John Michael Enriquez and Angelo Yap have decided to continue performing with Kristel Yap as their bass player and Marvi as the new drummer. They are currently composing songs themed up with faith, love, and humanity and this is what Armas’ music is all about.
