Well, it's been a series of questions and rumors and now they are all put to rest as Trivium announced their new drummer, young Nick Augusto, a fellow Floridian, which is also a good friend of the band. Trivium recently released their official statement in their website Trivium.org. Nick Augusto will now be permanently replacing Travis Smith and will tour with Trivium for year 2010.
Vocalist/guitarist Matt Heafy commented, “We’re really happy to have our good friend and fellow Floridian Nick Augusto join the Trivium family. Nick’s drumming is very technical and diverse and he brings a real intense energy to the band and we can’t wait for everyone to hear the new song, ‘Shattering the Skies Above,” that we just recorded with Nick. I think it’s the best Trivium recording we’ve ever done; it’s raw, full of energy and I think Nick’s drumming really pushed us to a new level.”
There you have it. A new addition to the Trivium family and the Philippines is the first lucky ones who will get to witness Nick's drumming! Trivium will be performing in Manila on February 12, 2010 Saturday at the A.venue Music Hall. Gates open at 5pm and tickets are now avaialble in Ticketne, Ticketworld and at Pulp Office (get free merchandise when you buy SVIP tickets at Pulp office). Call 6871709 for more information.
