No, Chicosci is probably not everyone’s favorite band, as they used to proclaim (though with a hint of irony) several years back.

Heck, I’m sure even they know that they’re pretty far from it, despite the multitudes of new fans they’ve gained since their last record, 2006’s Chicosci. For starters, their embracing of a more accessible and radio-friendly sound compared to their previous releases raised more than number of eyebrows needed to doubt the group’s sincerity. But then again, Chicosci were dropped by their previous label before they released what turned out to be their most successful album (and said label attempted to cash in by releasing a best-of compilation of their earliest material), so accusations of selling out on their part must be completely unfounded. – Check out Pulp’s November issue to read more.
